Fall has got me all head over heels with some delicious protein packed adaptogen smoothies. Known for those healthy, wholesome FEELS, this dessert like meal will leave your tastebuds wanting seconds. And in this case, seconds are encouraged!
Warm Sweet Potato Dreamin'
½ baked or steamed sweet potato (skin on)
2 oz steamed pumpkin
1 large orange carrot (raw)
1 cup almond milk
1 serving protein powder (I use @vitalproteins)
2 tbsp cashew butter
1 pinch pink Himalayan sea salt
2 tbs hemp heart
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cordyceps
1 tsp reishi
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp all spice
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cardamom
Blend in a blendtec for two minutes and layer with coconut yogurt.
Top with pistachios, pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs, bee pollen. ALL YUM.
This smoothie is mega delicious warm. Warm foods have crazy benefits for your digestive system but if you feel you just cant attempt the temp, add some ice cubes and make it a cold one.
